About the Role
As our Senior Bicycle Mechanic / Workshop Supervisor, you will take ownership of the workshop, ensuring every bike leaves our store performing at its best. You'll work across a diverse range of bicycles including road, gravel, mountain, commuter, kids' and electric bikes while providing leadership and support to the workshop team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the workshop
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair bicycles efficiently and accurately
- Complete servicing, maintenance and warranty work to a high standard
- Perform new bike builds, pre-delivery inspections and custom builds
- Provide customers with clear advice on service requirements, options and turnaround time
- Work closely with the Store Manager and wider team to achieve daily goals
- Maintain workshop organisation, quality control and productivity
- Foster strong connection and leadership within the service department
- Ensure an outstanding customer experience from drop-off to collection
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone already working in a senior mechanic or workshop leadership role who is ready to bring their experience, knowledge and passion to our team.
You'll Bring:
- Proven experience as an experienced bicycle mechanic
- Strong technical knowledge across modern bicycle platforms and components
- Experience working on road, gravel, mountain, commuter and e-bikes
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- A positive, self-motivated and team-focused attitude
- A passion for cycling and helping people enjoy their riding experience
- The ability to take ownership, lead by example and mentor others
- A willingness to continue learning and stay current with emerging technologies and products
